You can stop sharing your location with a specific friend or hide your location from everyone.
- Stop sharing with a friend: Tap People at the bottom of the screen, then tap the name of the person you don’t want to share your location with. Tap Stop Sharing My Location, then tap Stop Sharing Location.
- Hide your location from everyone: Tap Me at the bottom of the screen, then turn off Share My Location.
- Tap People at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Share below the name of the friend who sent the request and choose how long you want to share your location. If you don’t want to share your location, tap Cancel.

Why can’t i drop a pin on Apple Maps?
Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. Ever since the update to iOS 14, I’m no longer able to drop a pin on Apple Maps by long pressing on the map. I zoom in, zoom out, change to satellite view, but long pressing still does nothing.

It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting to solve this issue.
Even though there is a chance that you’ve tried these steps already, we would recommend you follow every step and let us know if the issue persists. One thing you can do is close the Maps app and then open it again and see if it will drop the pin. “Mark an unlabeled location on the map
