What is the rarest Pokemon in Pokemon GO?
14. Sandile, Krokorok & Krookodile – Like many other Pokemon on this list, Sandile can only hatch from a 12 Km Egg, which is a big obstacle even for hardcore Pokemon Go players. It now sits in the second tier of difficulty for these Eggs, but it’s still very rare. Krookodile is a bit easier to get in mainline Pokemon games. Niantic surprised players by adding the original Legendary Birds in their Galarian forms in Pokemon Go in 2022. To get Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, or Moltres, players must use their Daily Adventure Incense and walk until they find one during those 15 minutes. The Pokemon Company Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres can be found using the Daily Adventure Incense in Pokemon Go. In the group of elusive Dragon-type Pokemon, Jangmo-o ranks high on the list. It’s another Pokemon that can spawn in the wild while using Daily Adventure Incense and it can also hatch from 10 Km Eggs, but it’s the rarest of all possibilities. Pokemon Go players need 25 Candy to evolve it into Hakamo-o. In addition to many regional Pokemon, players can now try and collect in Pokemon Go. These patterns can be obtained by pinning Postcards received from Gifts, catching a Scatterbug in the triggered encounter, and evolving it by spending 125 Candy. Vivillon has a total of 18 patterns in Pokemon Go, but there might be more in the future. Axew is one of the rarest Pokemon that you can get from a 10 km Egg in Pokemon Go. You can also find it in the wild but the odds of that happening are even lower. Dragon-type Pokemon are hard to get in Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go players can get Goomy by hatching a 10 km Egg or through an encounter in the wild. Having said that, this Dragon-type Pokemon rarely appears in the wild and stands at the third tier (hardest to get) of the 10 km Egg hatch pool. After catching a Goomy, players need to spend 125 Candy for its two evolutions. Tirtouga used to be a part of the Egg hatch pool in Pokemon Go, but you can now find it only in the wild. This hasn’t been too beneficial for Trainers because the dual Water and Rock-type Pokemon has really low spawn rates. Tirtouga is harder to get than some Legendary Pokemon. Salazzle is the evolution of Salandit in Pokemon Go and it is rare because of a unique evolution condition. Apparently, only a female Salandit can be evolved into a Salazzle and there’s only a 12.5% chance of players getting one from eggs. 12 Km Egg hatches are among the rarest Pokemon in the game. Melmetal can be obtained in Pokemon Go by evolving Meltan with 400 Candy. Meltan itself is one the rarest Pokemon in the game which makes Melmetal even harder to get. You can get Meltan by completing the Let’s Go, Meltan Special Research quest or through Mystery Boxes. Meltan and Melmetal were introduced in Gen 8 with connectivity between Switch games and Pokemon Go. Pikachu Libre is rare in Pokemon Go because you can get it only after reaching rank 20 in the Go Battle League. Upon reaching this rank, the game allows you to have an encounter with Pikachu Libre.
- Article continues after ad To reach rank 20 in the Go Battle League, you must win a ton of PvP battles in different types of categories, and naturally, rank progression becomes tougher as you move further.
- It is no surprise that the Pikachu Libre variant is not common in the Pokemon Go community.
- Casual players often struggle to win battles in the Go Battle League after a certain point and reaching high ranks requires them to put in countless hours into the PvP mode.
Article continues after ad Niantic/The Pokemon Company Pikachu Libre is a reward for competitive players. There are 28 variants of Unown in Pokemon Go, and collecting them all is close to impossible. These variants are based on the 26 letters in the alphabet, the exclamation mark, and the question mark.
- You can obtain Unown from the wild, Eggs, and Raids but all these methods are easier said than done.
- The Pokemon has made this list due to its extremely low spawn rate.
- Some Unown appear more frequently during special Pokemon Go events.
- Fossil Pokemon like Archen are known for their rarity not only in Pokemon Go but the entire,
The dual Rock and Flying-type Pokemon used to be a part of the 7km Egg pool but now, it is only available in the wild. Article continues after ad Archen’s spawn rate in the wild is close to nil making it one of the rarest Pokemon in the game. Archen also has an evolution called Archeops and unsurprisingly, it is even more challenging to obtain because of the Candy requirement.
Some of the rarest Pokemon in the game only appear in the wild. Noibat in Pokemon Go rarely appears in the wild and has an equally low chance of hatching through an Egg. This makes Noibat a rare find in Pokemon Go, and its evolution called Noivern requires 400 Noibat Candy which is something that the majority of the player base still hasn’t achieved.
Article continues after ad Accordingly, Noibat and Noivern are two of the rarest Pokemon in Pokemon Go. Noibat had its own back in February 2023, which gave players a chance at stocking up on Candy and even catching a shiny one.
- Noibat has a lot of fans all over the world thanks to its rarity in Pokemon Go.
- Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie are Legendary Pokemon that spawn in the wild.
- Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie are the rarest Pokemon in Pokemon Go because they’re region exclusive, The three Legendary Pokemon spawn in the wild but only in the following regions:
- Azelf – North America, South America, and Greenland
- Mesprit – Europe, Africa, Middle East, and India
- Uxie – Asia and Pacific regions
Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie are available in the wild despite being Legendary Pokemon. They seldom become a part of the raid pool, and when it happens, you can try unlocking them through Remote Raids. Article continues after ad Apart from Raids, there is clearly no easy way of getting Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie.
- You can travel around the world but it still won’t ensure that the Legendary Pokemon appear in the wild.
- It is worth noting that this list only comprises Pokemon that you can still get in Pokemon Go.
- The developers have introduced many Pokemon during time-locked events such as Galarian Mr.
- Rime and Rotom that were available some years ago and haven’t returned ever since.

Does Cosmog evolve twice?
It’s a good time to be a Pokémon Go player, as you can now finally fully evolve Cosmog into its final forms (meaning you could get Solgaleo and/or Lunala). Cosmog is a psychic-type Legendary Pokémon that evolves twice – first into Cosmoem, and then into either Solgaleo and Lunala, who were the mascots of Pokémon Sun and Moon.
Can Cosmog be transferred?
Transferring Cosmog, Solgaleo, And Lunala Through Pokémon Home – Cosmog and its evolutions made their debut in Pokémon Sun & Moon as the “box Legendaries.” This means they were very prevalent in advertising and are given to the player through the story. Simply playing Sun through to nearly the end will get you Solgaleo, and Moon gets you Lunala.
After beating the Elite Four, the player can bring their version’s Legendary to their Altar at the opposite time of day (so night in Sun, day in Moon ). This will open a parallel world where a brand new Cosmog can be caught at the Lake of Sunne or Moone. This holds true for the Ultra versions as well.
Sadly, this second Cosmog will still evolve depending on whichever version you have. So evolving it to its final form will just get you two Solagleo or two Lunala. Leave it as Cosmog, and put it plus Solgaleo/Lunala into Pokémon Bank, Pokémon Bank is a cloud-based Pokémon storage app for the 3DS games.
- It can send your 3DS-based Pokémon to Pokémon Home, where they can then interact with Sword & Shield,
- Transferring Pokémon from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon Home requires you to have a 3DS, a Nintendo Switch, and working internet.
- With these requirements met, turn on both Bank and Home,
- Find the menu options for Bank- to- Home transfer on each device, and follow the instructions given.
Essentially, Home will ask you to input a long code into your 3DS and then wait a few minutes for the transfer to happen. Once it does, Cosmog and friends will be waiting in Pokémon Home ‘s cloud storage. From there, you can move them to your Sword/Shield ‘s storage directly if you wish.

What is the nickname for Cosmog in Pokemon GO?
Pokemon Go players refuse to evolve Cosmog when Cosmeom, Lunala, and Solgaleo release Published: 2022-09-12T18:03:40 ❘ Updated: 2022-09-12T18:04:00 Cosmog is one of the main Pokemon in Gen VII. When Pokemon Go players were asked which Legendary they would evolve their Cosmog into, a wave of trainers claimed they would never evolve their Nebby.
Pokemon Go’s Season of Light started off pretty strong introducing new psychic Pokemon, an interesting storyline, and plenty of terrifying Ultra Beasts. And as was expected, a new line of Special Research tasks kicked off the season offering all players some free goodies. One of which was the Legendary space baby Cosmog.
Article continues after ad Players instantly fell in love with the galactic cloud baby known as Cosmog, many naming their own ‘Nebby’ after the Cosmog featured in Pokemon Sun & Moon. And as players of the Gen 7 titles know, Cosmog will eventually evolve into Cosmeom which can then evolve into one of the games’ box Legendaries: Lunala or Solgaleo.
What Pokémon can’t be traded in Pokemon GO?
Trading Pokémon — Pokémon GO Help Center Trading allows you to exchange Pokémon with your friends and make progress on completing the Pokédex. Trading occurs in-person and in real-time so you’ll need to be in close range of your friend in order to trade Pokémon.
- Every trade requires that you and your trading partner spend some Stardust.
- Different Pokémon require different amounts of Stardust.
- Generally, the more desirable the Pokémon (like Legendary Pokémon and Shiny Pokémon), the more Stardust is required to trade.
- You can lower this amount by increasing your Friendship Level with your trading partner.
Players must be physically in the same location in order to trade. When you and your friend are nearby, navigate to your Friend List.
In Map View, navigate to your Trainer Profile, Tap the Friends tab at the top of the screen to open your Friend List. Tap on the Trainer that you wish to trade Pokémon with. Tap on the Trade button to enter the trading screen.
Once your friend joins the trading session, you’ll be able to select a Pokémon to trade. Before you select the Pokémon, you’ll be able to view the Pokémon’s details. Note that the CP, HP, and other stats are adjusted when you trade. The Pokémon’s new CP and HP will appear as a range.
Tap the Next button to proceed. After both you and your friend have selected a Pokémon to trade, a confirmation option will appear. The amount of Stardust that is required for the trade will appear next to the button. You also see the amount of Candy you’ve received through the trade. The amount of Candy you earn depends on the distance between where the two Pokémon were caught.
The further the distance, the more Candy. Tap on the Confirm button to complete the trade. Some Pokémon are considered special trades. These Pokémon require more Stardust to trade and you can only complete one special trade per day. The following are special trades:
Pokémon not already in your PokédexLegendary PokémonShiny PokémonUltra BeastsPokémon with forms not already in your Pokédex (like Unown, costumed Pikachu, and Castform)
Other restrictions on trading:
Trading is only available for Trainers that are Level 10 or above. Certain Pokémon cannot be traded. Mythical Pokémon (like Mew) and Pokémon that have previously been traded once before cannot be traded.
Can Lunala breed with Ditto?
No. As with previous entries, Legendary Pokémon – such as Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, or Sun and Moon’s cover stars, Solgaleo and Lunala, cannot be bred,
Why does Cosmoem not have an evolve option?
Evolve Cosmoem into Solgaleo or Lunala – Unfortunately for the moment, you only have one Cosmoem and can therefore only obtain one evolution of it. Rest assured, Niantic has indicated that other Cosmogs will be available later.
Cosmoem evolves into Solgaleo thanks to 100 candies and only if you carry out the operation during the day (sun), Cosmoem evolves into Lunala thanks to 100 candies and only if you perform the operation during night (moon), Note that shiny versions of Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo and Lunala are not available. Similar to Cosmog, if you don’t see the option to evolve Cosmoem, restart the game.
While GoW had the Valkyries, the sequel has the 12 berserkers, very difficult to summon optional bosses at tombstones. Here’s a written strategy guide with tips and tricks for defeating her on max difficulty, as well as a video of the fight in this mode.
Is Cosmog rare in Pokemon GO?
Players will need access to a limited-time special research quest to get Cosmog in Pokemon GO – The only way players can still obtain Cosmog is if they still have access to the limited-time special research quest, “A Cosmic Companion.” New players (or those who took a short break from Pokemon GO during the start of September) may have missed out on obtaining this special quest line when it debuted.
- However, for those who have the quest and may not have finished it entirely, there is still hope.
- Completing the first step of the quest gives players the opportunity to get their hands on this rare Pokemon.
- The only difficult part of the quest will be the step that requires players to capture 15 Psychic-types.
Psychic-type Pokemon can be some of the hardest for trainers to get their hands on. Luckily, with the Evolving Stars event on the near horizon, players will be able to find this elusive type of creature more often. Thankfully, players only need to complete the first stage of the quest to acquire Cosmog in Pokemon GO. However, fully completing the quest grants trainers 25 free Cosmog candies, which is the exact amount needed to evolve it into Cosmoem when the Evolving Stars event begins.
- For players who missed out on this special research event, there is sadly no other option to acquire a Cosmog at the moment.
- However, Niantic did state in the official event post for Evolving Stars that there would be a way to catch multiple Cosmog at a later date.
- This could hint at its appearance as a potential One-Star Raid Boss.
While it is unfortunate that Cosmog is not available to catch in the wild, this does not mean players will never see this creature again in Pokemon GO. Since light is the theme of the current season, there may be future Raid Battles where players can compete for a chance to add one of its evolutions to their collection. GIF Cancel Reply ❮ ❯
Is there a deadline to evolve Cosmog?
The Evolving Stars event of Pokemon GO began on October 5, 2022, at 10.00 am and will continue till October 11, 2022, at 8.00 pm local time. The focus of this event is mainly on Cosmog and its subsequent evolution Cosmeon. Cosmog is essentially the primary Legendary Pokemon of the Sun and Moon series. It evolves into Cosmoem before becoming either Solgaleo or Lunala. The final two evolutions are not yet available. Niantic remarked that Cosmog’s evolution will be a “journey” during the Season of Light. But how do trainers evolve their Cosmog into Cosmoem ? Fortunately, the process is fairly straightforward. The difficult part is accruing the resources to evolve it.
